Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor 2: The great American Rap Album Part 1

Tomorrow marks the release date for Lupe's 4th studio album. After going with The Cool and Lasers as album titles, Lupe returns to the Food and Liquor title series. As a huge lupe fan I hope the flows return to that style as well. Many people say that nothing compares to your first album. Typically that has been correct. But if any artist has the skill or the ability to go back to his origin, it's Fiasco. Coming out with singles like Bitch Bad and Lamborghini Angels. Created a huge buzz for the project. With a song entitled Bitch Bad of course there is going to be questions. But of course with Lupe not being your A typical rapper he has a very interesting approach to bring light to a word that is so heavily used in the hip hop community.

After the Bitch Bad single, Lupe releases the video for Lamborghini Angels. One that makes me think about how many artist really "fake it until they make it". Lupe rides around the West Side of Chicago in a new Lamborghini. Only to return the car at the end of the video to the luxury rental dealership. Of course you get the classic Lupe flow but you also get the message that everything you see is not reality. Well at least that's my take on it.

I can't wait to hear the whole album on tomorrow.  Check out the simple album cover (below). No fluff, no gimmicks. There is not even a picture of him on the cover.  It's simple, It's clean, It's LUPE.
