Was it Zach Lavine or Vince Carter ? Who had the best Dunk contest.. 15 years ago Vince shocked the world with this dunking display.. This year the young 19 year old Zach Lavine of the Minnesota Timberwolves Did the exact same thing, Shocked the World.. To those that follow collage and even high school basketball picked Zach to win the Dunk Contest on Saturday night hands down.. And I was not let down.. I just wish I had put some money down on it.. Because it was a sure thing...

Yesterday marked the start of the All-Star weekend in New York.. Everyone knows that basketball and hip hop go hand and hand.. Yesterday Diddy threw a who's who of old and new Hip Hip artist.. To bad the crowd was more interested in putting up there cell phones to record it than throwing there hands up to some new and classic joints.. Any time you have Diddy, snoop, 2chainz TI just a to name a few of the many on one stage you have to get hype..

I'm sorry I know I was not there.. But from the footage I saw, the crowd was terrible.. (Just my thoughts) Check out the video...

J. Cole Forest Hill Drive Tour

With all this internet traffic looking for the surprise album by Drake.. J. Cole could not be left out.. Today he released some info regarding the upcoming Forest Hills Drive Tour.. J. Cole twitted a image of the tour poster.. Giving us dates and cites for the first run.  Some of the cities are not your normal tour destinations.. But that's OK. That was done intentionally.. J. Cole wanted to show some love to those cities that never get shown love.. I wonder if he will make some of these shows part of his Dollar and Dream serious, with that comes $1 cover for his show..

No I didnt kill my self.. But clearly Drake is trying to kill the game.. Last night to everyone's surprise Drake released a full 17 track album that has the world on buzz.. Similar to how Beyonce drop her latest project with no warning.. Drake did how ever drop a 15 min video hours before the album dropped.. No hit single no marketing just drop the album and let the world hear it.. Take a listen before you buy it.. Let me know what you think.. I have yet to listen to it myself.. I'll be posting my thoughts on the album with in the next few days.. Some time you need to give album a second listen just to catch all the metaphors and punchlines.. First listens most people only go for the beat or the quick jabs. I love coming back and hearing something totally different.

Trip To Dallas

As I sit here in my hotel watching this terrible game between the Lakers and the Nuggets. I start to think about how my trip went.  If you know me there  three things that make me happy during these work trips.. Great food, Great shoe deals, and GREAT FOOD.  I know I said food twice,  that's because great food will make even the longest work trip memorable,  not because of the long hours but because of the memory that great food brings.

Before I left Chicago, one of my guys told me about this cool spot called Maple and Motor.  Once I got here I saw that is as clear on the other side of dallas.  But I was determined to figure out how to get there.. Once I got there I was not disappointed.. The food was great the service was great and yes the food was great..I'm not going to lie when my food first came out, I though to myself WTF is this..I ordered the flat top brisket sandwich.  But once I took one bite I started to shack my head and I said to myself GREAT CHOICE BROWN! !   One of the best parts of this meal was the fact that they have BIG RED cream soda on the serve yourself fountain drinks. Yes I like cream soda.   But the food and the brisket  was great,  flavorful.. If your ever in the Dallas area check the out. Www.mapleandmotor.com

After I ate at Maple and Motor.  I headed out to find my sneaker deals.. And a great deal I found.  I found this cool shop called Centre.  At first I looked like every other sneaker boutique but the staff was cool and I eve got a pair of Air force ones for 50% off. Yes half off. You know  I love that deal.  I think I have found another gem.  They say they have been around for 8 years. So I'm happy to find a established shop. I don't order from places that I have never physically been in there space. There are to many scams and fakes out there.  I work to hard for my money to give it away.  

Pictured above are the Air Force Ones I picked up.  The air max in the pictured I picked up from the nike outlet for $59. Not a bad haul. If I say so.. But check out centre.
