This past weekend, one of the biggest 2 battles in HIPHOP took place.. Those that follow hip hop and the battle rap scene know that The Total Slaughter battle between Loaded Lux and Murda Mock.. These two battle kings of Harlem have been on top of there game for years and years to come.. I can remember in school watching them on youtube giving bars to any one that wanted it.. I must say that its refreshing to see battle rap come all the way around to a pay per view event.. If you are not familiar with battle rap, the best way to describe it is taking all your competitors secrets and airing them out in rap form.. There is no line you cant cross. there is nothing sacred that cant be discussed.. Nothing is save. its a no holds bard rap battle.. No hooks, NO music, just bars and disses at one another..
Below is the full battle.. and Man I must say there had to be at least 10 times I was in my set shaking my head at all the rhymes and metaphors.. This is truly a verbal assault.
Take a look !!!!!
Also part of the Total Slaughter event was the battle between Joe Budden and Hollow da Don.. For those of you asking, yes this is the first time a signed artist is battling a well tested battler.. When I first heard this, I was really confused, I was asking myself what does Joe have to gain in battling this guy who has no songs, has no buzz other than on the battle circuit.. And I still cant come to a conclusion.. With Hollow its a no brainier, make a little cash, battle a signed MC, get my buzz up more to make more money..
(Sorry about the quality )
This blog is to inform those that don't have a clue about the many sides of HipHop. It's contents come from the prespective of the common hiphop enthusiast... I'm not in the industry. I'm just a guy that loves the hiphop culture. I write this for those looking to hear other things besides the 10 songs on repeat on any HipHop station you hear.

NEW JEEZY TRACK feat. JAY Z
Last night a new track popped up and yes its a banger.. Jeezy and Jay Z have teamed up again to make another track.. This is the title track of Jeezy new Album entitled "SEEN IT ALL".. Jeezy is really pushing the time table up with releasing to tracks with in the last few weeks.. We had Me Too, not we have Seen it all. Both of these tracks feel like the classic Jeezy tracks.. Anniversaries
Today marked a few anniversaries in music.. One is very sad and the other makes me go down memory lane.. I will give you the sad one first.. Today marks 5 years to the day that Micheal Jackson passed away.. The king of pop was only 50 years of age when he left us.
. His latest album opened the charts at 2nd place.. Even though we will always have his music, the king of pop will truly be missed..
Today also marks the day that JayZ Resonable Doubt dropped in stores.. I know when it dropped I was not checkin for JayZ.. I was truly listening to 2pac and Cube and few others I could find and listen to at the age of 14.. But once I heard it was like DAMN.. And it instantly was a classic.. I honestly say i didn't really start listening to JayZ until my senior year in high school.. The Hard Knock life album came out that year and I was hocked.. I was Rocawear pants, shirts, BIG leather jacket.. You couldnt tell me back then that I was not in Rocafella ( lol ) yeah that's funny looking back that time in my life..
Pictures from Big Show at the Joe
A few weeks ago I was able to make it the Big Show at the Joe ( Joe Louis Arena) in Detroit.. Below are a few pictures from a great concert.. Featured artist include J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean and Trey songz... I'm not a huge fan of the R&B acts that performed.. But the 3 headlineing rappers rocked the Joe.. Of course Kendrick and J. Cole put on.. With Big Sean performing in his home city and mine he closed the show and really represented DETROIT..
Kicks on Feet !
So recently I picked up what I thought was a dope pair of vans.. Its been a funny experience.. Keep in mind I'm not a skinny jean type of dude, and for damn sure would fall off a skate board.. But these shoes just speak to me.. But like i was saying its been a funny experience rocking these.. I get all types of reactions.. Some say they are dope, some say they are ugly but for some reason this $45 pair of shoes gets more attention than the Jordans that cost triple the amount..
Over the last few months I have realized that I'm not just a Jordan head i'm a over all shoe lover.. To me there is nothing like have a fresh NEW pair of kicks on my feet.. That smell, the unboxing the whole process is AMAZING. That process never gets old..
But let me know what you think about these joints right here..
Lets Get It Crackin
Ok I know its been a while but lets get this thing cracking again.. A few days ago I came across a joint that I just knew had to be old. But its just that old sound that had me trunk banging back in the day.. Harlem's own Cam'ron is back at again and this time he teamed up with Dam Dash and fellow dipset partner Juelz Santana..
Check out Dipshits..
